Pauline Reynolds has filed a lawsuit against Jackie Costello Johns, DDS and Esthetic & Implant Dentistry of South Florida, PA in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA002128XXXAMB Div: Al and was filed on March 6, 2024.

Reynolds alleges that she suffered significant and permanent nerve damage as a result of dental implant surgery performed by Dr. Johns in November and December 2020. Despite her complaints of post-operative pain, numbness, swelling, and loss of feeling in her lower lip from December 2020 through August 2021, Dr. Johns assured Reynolds that her condition would improve over time.

However, after consulting with Dr. Jerri Hines at Ambiance Surgical Arts Center in Miami in August 2021 due to lack of improvement, it was confirmed that Reynolds' nerve damage was a direct consequence of Dr. Johns' implants. This resulted in neurological pain, anesthesia, and dysesthesia to her tongue and jaw.

Reynolds is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 for negligence on the part of Dr. Johns and Esthetic & Implant Dentistry of South Florida. She claims that they failed to provide adequate care before, during, and after the surgery which resulted in her injuries.
