Nelson E. Gosman has filed a lawsuit against Kenneth Grob, Austin Schnaderbeck, and Castaways Bar LLC in the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Palm Beach County, Florida. The case, numbered 502024CA002319XXXAMB Div: AE, was filed on March 12, 2024. The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for an incident involving his service dog at the defendant's establishment.

The plaintiff, represented by an unnamed counsel, alleges that he was unlawfully expelled from Castaways Bar due to the presence of his service dog. Gosman is a blind Vietnam veteran who relies on his guide dog Alba for daily activities. Defendants Grob and Schnaderbeck are employees of Castaways Bar LLC and were involved in the incident.

Gosman claims that despite having legal rights to be accompanied by his service animal in public places under Florida Statute § 413.08(3), he was asked to leave the premises by Grob who later summoned Schnaderbeck for assistance. This alleged act has led to the lawsuit demanding a jury trial and compensation for damages.
