Aleyna Kilic has filed a lawsuit against Real Sub, LLC and Publix Super Markets, Inc. in the 15th Judicial Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA002102XXXAMB Div: AK and was filed on March 6, 2024. The plaintiff alleges negligence by the defendants leading to damages exceeding $50,000.

The incident took place on March 18, 2022, at a Publix location in West Palm Beach where Kilic was a business invitee. While driving through the flooded parking lot of the supermarket, her vehicle collided with a concealed pothole causing damage to her vehicle and personal injury.

Kilic's complaint outlines that Real Sub, who owned and controlled the premises, failed to maintain it in a safe condition. This includes neglecting to inspect and repair the parking lot which had fallen into disrepair and allowing a large pothole to form and remain for an unreasonable length of time.

Kilic seeks judgment for damages against both defendants due to their alleged negligence which resulted in her bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish among other losses. She claims these losses are either permanent or continuing and will be suffered in the future.
