In a lawsuit filed on February 26, 2024, in the County Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit for Pinellas County, Florida (Case Number: 24-001736-CO), His & Hers Roofing, LLC (A/A/O Mathew Busch) is suing Citizens Property Insurance Corporation. The plaintiff alleges breach of contract and seeks damages under an insurance policy ranging from $8,000 to $50,000.

The plaintiff's complaint outlines that they were authorized to conduct business in Pinellas County, Florida at all times relevant to this case. It also states that the insured had coverage under a property insurance policy issued by the defendant. The property in question, located at 1896 Bugle Ln Clearwater FL 33764, reportedly sustained direct physical damage as a result of Hurricane Ian on September 29, 2022.

According to the complaint, following the hurricane damage, the insured contracted with His & Hers Roofing for necessary repairs and restoration services. However, it is alleged that Citizens Property Insurance Corporation denied coverage or failed to issue full payment for the loss covered under the policy.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment against Citizens Property Insurance Corporation for damages resulting from their alleged breach of contract. They argue that due to the defendant's failure to issue complete payment for damages related to Hurricane Ian's impact on their property, they have suffered ongoing financial harm.
