In the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, a civil lawsuit (Case Number: 24-000934-Cl) was filed on February 27, 2024. The plaintiff, Beata Rosario, represented by an undisclosed attorney, is suing defendants John Baptist Marant Jr. and Allstate Insurance Company.

The lawsuit revolves around an automobile accident that occurred on March 15, 2023. The plaintiff alleges that while she was a passenger in a vehicle driven by David Crumley and stopped at a red traffic light in Pinellas County, Florida, her vehicle was hit by a 2017 Nissan Rogue owned and operated by defendant John Baptist Marant Jr. The defendant is accused of negligent operation of his vehicle and failure to pay attention to the roadway.

Rosario claims that as a direct result of Marant's negligence, she suffered bodily injury leading to pain and suffering, mental anguish, disability, disfigurement, loss of capacity for enjoyment of life among other damages. She also accuses Marant of being an uninsured motorist as defined by Florida Statutes.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment for damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of costs against John Baptist Marant Jr., and demands a trial by jury. Additionally, Rosario has lodged an uninsured motorist claim against Allstate Insurance Company.
