Marcus W. Corwin, P.A., represented by Marcus W. Corwin, has filed a lawsuit against 6001 BSP Associates, LLC; Graner Law Group, P.A.; Thomas U. Graner; and Tracy M. White in the Circuit Court for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida (Case No: 502024CA002358XXXAMB Div: AF). The case was filed on March 13, 2024, and seeks damages exceeding $50,000.
The plaintiff alleges that the defendants made false statements about him and his law firm to third parties via email and certified mail on May 23, 2022. The defendants are accused of stating that Corwin "fraudulently induced the Landlord to execute the Lease and Amendments/extensions with knowledge of the Tenant’s lack of assets" and had "the requisite intent to defraud creditors." These allegations have reportedly damaged Corwin's reputation as a lawyer and caused harm to his business.
As a result of these alleged defamatory statements being transmitted by the defendants to third parties, the plaintiffs have suffered damages in an amount yet to be determined at trial. The plaintiff is seeking judgment for these damages plus an award of their costs.
