Christopher A. Vernal has filed a lawsuit against Sergio Figueroa and Figueroa Landscaping, Inc., a Florida Profit Corporation, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida. The case number is 502024CA002234XXXAMB Div: AD, and it was filed on March 8, 2024. The plaintiff alleges negligence and vicarious liability causing damages exceeding $50,000.
Vernal claims that on April 20, 2023, while he was operating his 2015 Nissan Altima in Greenacres, Palm Beach County, Figueroa negligently operated a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado Pick Up Truck resulting in a crash. Figueroa was allegedly acting as an agent or employee of Figueroa Landscaping at the time of the incident.
The complaint asserts that as a result of the defendants' negligence, Vernal suffered bodily injury which is permanent within a reasonable degree of medical probability. This resulted in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of earnings and capacity for enjoyment of life among other losses.
Vernal seeks judgment against both defendants for damages exceeding $50,000 plus costs incurred herein and any other relief deemed fit by the court. He also demands trial by jury for all issues so triable.
