Sabah Saoud sues Boca Regents Opco, LLC for resident rights violation and inadequate care

In the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach County, Florida, Sabah Saoud, as Personal Representative of the Estate of Daad Saoud, has filed a lawsuit against Boca Regents Opco, LLC, doing business as The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The case number is 502024CA002439XXXAMB Div: AG and was filed on March 15, 2024.

The plaintiff's lawyer from Ford, Dean & Rotundo, P.A., alleges that Daad Saoud suffered from the infirmities of aging to such an extent that she was impaired in her ability to adequately provide for her own care and protection. It is claimed that during Daad Saoud's residency at The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, the staff failed to develop an adequate care plan and properly monitor and supervise her care leading to her suffering the development and deterioration of wounds and respiratory failure.

The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of $50,000 exclusive of interest and costs. The complaint asserts a violation of Daad Saoud's resident rights under Florida Statute §400 based solely on custodial care issues.
