Greenberg Traurig Shareholders to Speak at SIFMA 2024 C&L Seminar

Two Greenberg Traurig, P.A. shareholders speak at the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) 2024 Compliance & Legal (C&L) Annual Seminar to be held March 17-20 in Orlando. The firm is also a longstanding sponsor of the event.

SIFMA, considered the voice of the nation’s securities industry, brings together the shared interests of hundreds of broker-dealers, investment banks, and asset managers to advocate for effective and resilient capital markets. SIFMA’s C&L Annual Seminar is the preeminent meeting place for compliance and legal professionals from across the financial services industry.

Tracy L. Gerber, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Broker-Dealer Securities Litigation Practice, will moderate the “Key Legal and Regulatory Issues for Private Client Firms” panel session March 19 at 10 a.m. Gerber’s panel will explore best practices, trends and challenges private client firms face in addressing some of the key areas of focus for FINRA, the SEC and state regulators, including crypto assets, cybersecurity and technology management, the use of artificial intelligence and predictive analytics, off channel communications, and fiduciary rules.

Elizabeth E. Moum will be a panelist during the "Cutting Edge Issues in the Workplace 2024" session March 18 at 11:15 a.m. Moum’s panel will discuss generative AI use in the workplace, DEI programs and initiatives following the Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. (SFFA) v. President & Fellows of Harvard College and SFFA v. University of North Carolina, latest developments impacting employment and settlement agreements, and the recent uptick in union activity and new rules governing organizing efforts.
