1st Circuit Jnc Notice of County Court Judicial Applicants and Interview Schedule

The First Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission received applications from the individuals listed below to fill the vacancy in the First Judicial Circuit, Walton County Court created by the retirement of Judge David Green. The JNC will convene at 9 a.m. on Feb. 12th, in the Multimedia Room of The M.C. Blanchard Judicial Building, located at the Escambia County Courthouse, 190 W. Government St. Pensacola, Florida, 32502. The interviews will be conducted with each applicant at the times indicated below.

Paul Bailey               9:00 a.m.

James Dowgul          9:30 a.m.

Autumn Miller           10:00 a.m.

Joshua Mitchell         10:30 a.m.

Clint Morrow            11:00 a.m.

Sarah Oberliesen      11:30 a.m.

Kelvin Wells             12:00 p.m.

AGENDA:

8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.         JNC Deliberation

9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.       Interviews

12:30 p.m. until adjourned  JNC Deliberation

All interviews are open to the public. Deliberations will be conducted in closed sessions.

In its effort to select the most qualified applicants for nomination to Gov. Ron DeSantis, the Judicial Nominating Commission requests members of the legal community and the public to provide pertinent information (based upon personal knowledge) regarding any applicant. Information about applicants may include, but is not limited to, the following:

  1. Personal attributes such as integrity, moral conduct, and ethics;
  1. Competency and experience, which would include professional reputation, knowledge of the law, and knowledge of and experience in court; and
  2. Judicial capabilities such as patience, decisiveness, courtesy, civility, temperament, and respect.
