Attorney General Ashley Moody is recognizing the efforts of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home d/b/a One More Child organization for assisting young victims of human trafficking. One More Child is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides services to vulnerable children and struggling families through multiple programs. The organization has state-certified, anti-trafficking mobile outreach teams that assess the needs of survivors, connect them with essential community resources, deliver clinical services and provide mentorship throughout a survivor’s journey of recovery. One More Child assists law enforcement and prosecutors by providing resources for child trafficking victims to recover. In recognition of the organization’s work, Attorney General Moody presented a Florida Cabinet resolution observing January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month to One More Child representatives at the FSA headquarters in Tallahassee.
Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “One More Child supports young human trafficking victims, and I am excited to recognize the great work they do to help us end this atrocious crime in Florida. It is an honor to present them with a Florida Cabinet Resolution, signed by the Governor and the Florida Cabinet, to recognize their important efforts and encourage those devoted to fighting on behalf of trafficking victims across our state.”

This partnership we have with the Attorney General’s office and our amazing law enforcement community will enable us to reach more vulnerable children in their darkest time of need.”

Each of One More Child’s anti-trafficking mobile outreach teams has a 24/7 crisis line number for the specific region where the team is located. In 2022, the mobile teams responded to 265 trafficking situations. The organization covers five judicial circuits in Florida.
One More Child also provides tips through its See It. Say It. Stop It. approach, giving guidance on how to spot and report human trafficking, along with an anti-trafficking training course to further explain what human trafficking is and whom it affects.

Ending human trafficking in Florida is one of Attorney General Moody’s top priorities.
Attorney General Moody serves as Chair of the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking, consisting of law enforcement leaders, prosecutors, legislators and experts in the fields of health, education and social services.
