Bradley Attorney Cara Rice Named 2024 Member of the Year by the Federal Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division in Tampa

Bradley is pleased to announce that Cara Rice has been recognized as the 2024 Member of the Year by the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association’s (TBCFBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD).

The annual award honors a singular member’s commitment to planning educational and social events for young federal practitioners in the Tampa area. Ms. Rice has served on the YLD Committee since 2021, and in the past year she co-chaired several events, including a civil discovery seminar, a clerkship panel and a holiday networking event.

An associate in Bradley’s Government Enforcement and Investigations Practice Group, Ms. Rice represents individuals and companies throughout all stages of government investigations, including civil investigative demands, civil enforcement actions and criminal proceedings. Ms. Rice has experience resolving a variety of criminal and civil allegations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the False Claims Act, bank fraud, bankruptcy fraud, money laundering and public corruption. She also conducts internal investigations on behalf of her corporate clients, working with her clients to assess future compliance needs and respond to pre-existing government investigations.

Ms. Rice received her J.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Law and earned both her B.A. and B.S. from the University of Florida. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a legal news reporter covering white collar and securities litigation. Ms. Rice served two years as a clerk for the Hon. William Jung of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In addition to being an active member of the Federal Bar Association, she is active with the Herberg G. Goldburg – Ronald K. Cacciatore Criminal Law American Inn of Courts, where she currently serves as program coordinator and previously served as membership chair.

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the FBA is one of the largest chapters in the Southeast and supports the FBA’s mission of strengthening the federal legal system and administration of justice by serving the interests and needs of the federal practitioner, both public and private, the federal judiciary and the public they serve.
