Greenberg Traurig P.A. Litigation Shareholder Evelyn Cobos was named to the 2023 National Association of Women Lawyer’s Rising List, which honors attorneys who are leaders in their profession and also strive to help women advance under the law.

Cobos, based in Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, represents clients across various industries in complex commercial, business, consumer, and other civil litigation matters in state and federal court and arbitral forums. She has represented high-profile clients such as the Miami Seaquarium, a global software provider, and several large insurers. Her community work is focused on Miami organizations that strive to improve the lives of girls and women such as The Women’s Fund Miami-Dade and Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami. She is also an active mentor to many of the firm’s young attorneys. Through the pro bono matters she handles, she lends her legal skills to aid women who otherwise might not have access to legal representation.

“I am honored to be recognized by NAWL and be part of the 2023 Rising List. I know many women face daily struggles to earn a living wage and care for their children, making sure they have access to a good education and health care,” Cobos said. “It’s important to give back to your community. There’s always something you can do.”

NAWL’s mission is to “provide leadership, a collective voice, and essential resources to advance women in the legal profession and advocate for the equality of women under the law,” according to the organization’s website. “Since 1899, NAWL has been empowering women in the legal profession, cultivating a diverse membership dedicated to equality, mutual support, and collective success.” The organization started recognizing women attorneys who are emerging leaders in the legal profession in 2021.
