Jennifer W. Corinis, an of counsel attorney in the Tampa office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been elected to the board of trustees for the Tampa Museum of Art (TMA).

In this role, Corinis will advocate for and participate in the museum’s community programs, fundraisers, and special patron events, as well as annual appeals and campaigns. Corinis has been a member of the museum’s education committee since 2021.

“As an active member of the education committee, Jennifer has demonstrated her commitment to our mission of providing art education to those who are underserved and economically disadvantaged,” said Michael Tomor, Ph.D., executive director of the museum’s Vinik Family Education Center. “In addition, as an expert in employment and intellectual law, Jennifer brings a wealth of experience in providing healthy work environments as well as business matters related to intellectual property matters – an important aspect of art museum transactions in displaying, publishing, and sharing visual art with the public.”

Along with Greenberg Traurig’s support, Corinis also will contribute to the development of the museum’s $100 million Centennial Capital Campaign for Renovation and Expansion to increase exhibition space and education facilities.

“It is an honor to join the TMA Board of Trustees and support the museum’s mission of educating, engaging, and inspiring the residents of Tampa,” Corinis said. “As someone long committed to the museum’s vision, I look forward to working alongside like-minded board members to enhance the museum’s commitment to bringing art to our community.”

“We are pleased to have a member of the firm support the growth of the museum’s world-class exhibits and programs,” said David B. Weinstein, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office and chair of the firm’s national Environmental & Toxic Torts Litigation Practice. “We value The Tampa Museum of Art as an important cultural institution that contributes to the artistic amenities that enhance our city.”

A member of Greenberg Traurig’s Labor & Employment Practice, Corinis has deep trial and appellate experience in both federal and state courts, focusing on claims of alleged individual and class discrimination, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Corinis served for over 13 years as an Assistant United States Attorney, where she gained trial and appellate experience in employment and complex medical malpractice and tort cases.

The Tampa Museum of Art hosts exhibitions and educational programs that emphasize ancient, modern, and contemporary art and houses one of the largest Greek and Roman antiquities collections in the southeastern United States. Through community partnerships, the museum offers outreach programs that provide art-therapy-informed interventions and meaningful modes of self-expression to vulnerable segments of the population.
