Holland & Knight Ranked Among Florida Trend's Top 100 Best Companies

For the second year in a row, Holland & Knight has been named to the Best Companies To Work For In Florida list featured in the August issue of Florida Trend magazine. The annual list ranks 100 companies in small, medium and large employer categories. Holland & Knight is listed in the large company category.

Companies that chose to participate in the contest underwent an evaluation of their workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The process also included a survey to measure employee satisfaction. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

The magazine noted Holland & Knight's generous employee benefits, innovative wellness program and charitable service opportunities for employees. Holland & Knight's flexible remote work policy is also highlighted.

In an interview with Florida Trend, Holland & Knight's managing Partner Steven Sonberg commented, "We believe our firm's culture is an important differentiator. Our firm's senior leaders emphasize collaboration, inclusion, fairness and respect. They decide what is acceptable vs. unacceptable and drive that message in both big and little ways. New employees notice right away that our firm is an incredibly collegial place where teamwork is encouraged and rewarded."

"Nearly every business in Florida has had to implement new and creative ways to attract and retain employees as the nation experiences near historic lows in the unemployment rate," said Florida Trend executive editor Vickie Chachere. "The competition for high-quality talent has never been greater and employees are raising their expectations of their workplaces. Companies that support, elevate and celebrate their employees and are changemakers in creating positive workplace cultures will be the winners in the talent race."

The Best Companies To Work For In Florida program is managed by Florida Trend and Workforce Research Group and is endorsed by the HR Florida State Council. Workforce Research Group managed the registration, survey and analysis and determined the final rankings.
