Two Years Later . . . Managing Remote Work Requests on April 1, 2022

Auditorium

Date and Time: Friday, April 1, 2022    |    6:00 am-7:00 am PDT

Work-from-home requests were increasing even before the COVID-19 pandemic started. Many of the employees sent home to work during the pandemic are either unwilling or unable to return to the physical worksite. As employers roll out “return-to-office” plans, they are facing requests from employees to continue working from home and must now determine whether, and under what terms, they should provide employees with remote work arrangements.

In this webinar, Littler attorneys will offer practical suggestions on how employers can and should approach remote work requests in light of lessened restrictions. We will discuss:

  • What is the playing field when it comes to work-from-home arrangements, and has the analysis changed in light of the pandemic?
  • How should employers respond to requests to work from home as an ADA accommodation?
  • Can an employee work from home indefinitely?
  • What are the considerations for remote employees in the wage and hour context?
  • How can employers prevent remote employees from “wandering” to other locations?
  • What is the suggested approach to create and implement a remote work policy?
