TAMPA - A woman is suing a hotel for an alleged spider infestation that caused bites and scarring on her body.
Virginia Parks filed a lawsuit on Dec. 25 in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court against Linchris Hotel Corp. and LCP Tampa East Investment, LLC for negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
According to the lawsuit, Parks was a customer at the Linchris Hotel when upon waking up found the living quarters and beds infested with spiders. Parks had numerous spider bites all over her face and body, she says.
Parks was caused to suffer spider bites with injected venom into her body leaving swelling, bruising and blistering resulting in temporary and permanent scarring.
