Coyote Ugly Saloon sued for injuries suffered by woman while dancing on the bar

TAMPA - A woman is suing for alleged injuries suffered during an incident at the Coyote Ugly Saloon. 

Troyanna Stanley filed a lawsuit on Dec. 29 in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court against Yoda, LLC, for premises liability.

According to the lawsuit, on Dec. 27, 2019, Stanley visited Coyote Ugly Saloon in Tampa. While she was waiting for water, a bartender who was dancing on the bar pointed to Stanley and over a microphone requested that she come up to the bar. 

Stanley, who is approximately 200 pounds and had consumed alcohol during the evening, declined. Upon further persistence, Stanley joined on the bar., the suit says While dancing with the bartenders, Stanley fell backward and struck the bar with her head violently, causing traumatic brain injury and other injuries, the suit says.

Stanley was caused to suffer tearing of the right shoulder rotator cuff, a ruptured ACL and torn medial meniscus in her right knee, fracture of cervical vertebrae in her spine and fracture of a metatarsal bone in the foot in addition to the traumatic brain injury. 

Stanley is represented by Richard C. Alvarez of Tampa.
