TALLAHASSEE - Jennifer Taylor, as mother and natural guardian of I.T., a minor, filed a complaint on September 14 in Leon County Circuit Court against Area Tallahassee Aquatic Boosters, Inc. for sexual battery.

According to the complaint, in June 2017, I.T. became a part of the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Boosters' Serinas Synchronized Swimming Team. One of the volunteers was James Runyon, a registered sexual predator, the suit says.

Runyon allegedly sexual assaulted I.T. on June 7, 2018. Taylor alleges the Area Tallahassee Aquatic Boosters failed in doing a background check on the volunteers and ensuring the safety of the young girls on the team.

Taylor seeks judgment against the Defendant. Taylor is represented by Conrad C. Bishop, III.
