ORLANDO -- A woman is suing local county animal services and area animal shelters for personal injury.

Karly Keating filed a complaint on September 10 in Orange County Circuit Court against Lil' Rascals Dog Rescue, Inc., Rescue Me Orlando-Shelter Dogs, Inc., Noodles Animal Refuge, Inc and Orange County Animal Services for personal injury.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 15, 2017, Keating was bitten and injured by that certain dog, named Bo, which was owned and/or in the care and in the custody of Lil' Rascals Dog Rescue, Inc. Keating alleges that Lil' Rascals Dog Rescue, Inc. characterized the dogs biting as "puppy biting" despite knowing the dog's bite would cause harm or injury.

Keating alleges that she sustained injury and experienced mental pain and suffering. Other Defendants named in the complaint are due to them allowing the dog to come into contact with the Keating family and having the dog up for fostering.

Keating is represented by Robert N. Hemphill.
