Man sues for injuries after allegedly bad roof and ceiling repair

State Court

ORLANDO -- A man is suing after allegedly suffering injuries due to a botched roof and ceiling repair.

Harold Warren filed a complaint on August 26 in Orange County Circuit Court against Citrus Contracting, LLC and All Gutters Express, Inc. for violation of Florida Stat. 553.84 and negligence.

According to the complaint, in April 2017, a representative of Citrus canvassed Warren's neighborhood going door-to-door to solicit business for roof replacements. Warren agreed to let Citrus submit a claim to his homeowner's insurance to replace his roof and repair additional areas of the home that were damaged by the leaking roof.

On Feb. 8, 2020, Warren allegedly fell through his attic and sustained significant injury as the direct result of a defective and negligent repair to his garage ceiling that was a part of the roof and other repairs done by Citrus. Warren alleges that Defendants violated Florida Building Code, including the applicable ASTM Standards when doing to the repairs, which later caused him to fall and become injured.

Ninth Judicial Circuit in and for Orange County filing number 133444723
