TAMPA -- A mother is suing her daughter's former school because she was allegedly inappropriately touched by a teacher.

Meysi Claudia Zamudio, for minor child Solei Yeraldin Romero-Zamudio, filed a complaint on August 11 in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court against the Hillsborough County Public Schools for personal injury, breach of contract and negligence.

According to the complaint, the minor was on the premises of Tomlin Middle School on December 1, 2017. It is at that time the minor alleged being intentionally touched in her private area against her will by a teacher. Zamudio alleges that the school had a duty to protect students and keep students from such incidents.

The brief complaint does not identify the teacher, only to say he or she was charged with assault.

Zamudio is represented by Bruno F. DeZayas.
