ORLANDO -- A man is suing his former employer for being attacked and shot while working.
Mohammed Bouayad and Lamyae Haouari filed a complaint on May 26 in Orange County Circuit Court against Sarona Orlando Lee, LLC. and Intercontinental Hotels Group Resources, LLC for negligence.
According to the complaint, on June 28, 2019, Bouayad was working at Value Car Rental when he was viciously and violently attacked by a criminal assailant; he was allegedly shot and suffered severe injuries due to the incident. Bouayad alleges that it is at the fault of Sarona Orlando Lee because it failed to keep employees safe from criminal behavior.
