ORLANDO -- A woman is suing after allegedly being injured by an elevator.
Tonya McLendon filed a complaint on July 14 in Orange County Circuit Court against Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc. for negligence.
According to the complaint, on November 21, 2020, McLendon got into an elevator that abruptly fell a few floors then jerked to a stop. The elevator door would not open and the riders, including McLendon were stuck, the suit says.
Thereafter, the elevator abruptly dropped again and slammed onto the first floor, again trapping the riders, including McLendon, inside the elevator, the suit says. Once the elevator door finally opened, McLendon jumped out but had already sustained injuries.
McLendon is represented by Sam Babbs III.
