Lawsuit: Man playing boxing game hit change machine with follow-through and broke his finger

TAMPA -- A man is suing for injuring his hand while playing a boxing game. 

Derek Rosario filed a complaint on July 19 in Hillsborough County Circuit Court against Tampa Bay Grand Prix LLC for negligence.

According to the complaint, on February 8, 2021, Rosario was at the Tampa Bay Grand Prix playing the boxing game when he took a swing and hit the punching bag as intended. However, in his follow-through his left hand struck a change machine which was located directly adjacent to the boxing game seriously injuring his left hand, specifically sustaining an open wound and fracture of the middle finger.

Rosario is represented by Ron Vinograd of Steinger, Greene and Feiner.
