TAMPA -- A mother is suing her daughter for slander, alleging comments on a YouTube regarding molestation were inaccurate.
Ruby Jackson filed a complaint on July 16 in Hillsborough County Circuit Court against Jzapal Jackson a/k/a Jhonni Blaze for slander.
According to the complaint, in March 2021, Jhonni Blaze appeared on a YouTube Channel "Maino Presents Kitchen Talk" episode and falsely stated that Ruby Jackson had “let somebody molest” her and committed her to an insane asylum.
Blaze alleged her mom told her “You either go with your [molesting] father or you stay here."
Ruby Jackson alleges that there were an estimated 46,000 viewers of the episode and the episode was captioned as "Kitchen Talk - EP34 Johnni Blaze, Entertainer Model Talks Stripping, Being Molested, Music and More."
On May 31, 2021, Blaze appeared on the YouTube Channel NoJumper hosted by internet personality Adam John Grandmaison a/k/a Adam22, on which Blaze said “My mom was always a great parent to me — up until I felt, and I -- she’s still a great parent, -- and I --she’s still a great parent let me rephrase that because people was like up until I was molested by my stepfather.” Ruby Jackson alleges that the claims against her and about her are false and Blaze is slandering her.
Jackson seeks compensatory, consequential, incidental, presumed and actual damages, attorneys fees and cost of suit. Jackson is represented by Jesse Haskins.
