TALLAHASSEE -- A college student is suing after walking into barbed wire fence and suffering injuries.

Jacob Scott Leoni filed a complaint on July 14 in Leon County Circuit Court against Zimmer Development Company LLC, ZP No. 334 LLC, ZP No. 317 LLC and Florida State University Board of Trustees for negligence. The area in question is the Stadium Enclave student living development.

According to the complaint, Leoni walked into a barbed wire fence because the area was poorly lit and the fence was not visible at night. Leoni alleges that he suffered lacerations to his face and that the conditions of the area are hazardous to those on foot, which the defendants knew at the time of the incident.

Leoni is represented by Matthew K. Foster of Brooks, LeBoeuf, Foster, Gwartney, Leace and Hobbs, P.A.
