Woman sues housing authority after getting shot

TALLAHASSEE -- A woman's lawsuit blames the Tallahassee Housing Authority after she was shot at an apartment building.

Sylvia Holloway filed a complaint on July 8 in Leon County Circuit Court against the Tallahassee Housing Authority for negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 28, 2020, Holloway was lawfully on the premises of Springfield Apartments when an individual armed with a firearm came onto the premises and began shooting. Holloway alleges being shot multiple times, causing her to suffer permanent physical injuries, conscious mental anguish, pain and suffering, past and future medical expenses.
