Man sues Enterprise for hit and run

State Court
Enterprise

ORLANDO -- A man and his mother are suing after being in a hit-and-run car collision with a driver in an Enterprise rental.

Salvador Orsini Rodriguez, Ivelisse Uceta and Francisca Sanchez filed a complaint on May 6 in Orange County Circuit Court against Enterprise Leasing Company of Orlando for negligence.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 27, 2020, an unknown person was driving a 2019 Ford Mustang rented from Enterprise Leasing Company of Orlando's Orlando Airport Exotics. The unknown driver allegedly collided with Rodriguez and his mother Sanchez driving in a 2016 Hyundai UK.

The unknown driver then allegedly exited the vehicle and took of running on foot. The unknown driver of the Mustang was not identified by the investigating law officer and remains at large.

Rodriguez and Sanchez allege that Enterprise Leasing Company of Orlando was negligent in knowing "their inventory control procedures were inadequate" and that managers knew the car was stolen or missing but failed to promptly report it to authorities. Uceta is in the suit for loss of consortium of her husband Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, Uceta and Sanchez are represented by Sindey A. Roman.
