ORLANDO — A woman who was allegedly injured on a Disney bus after falling off her scooter while traveling to the theme park is claiming negligence.

Linda Clough filed a complaint April 29 against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc., alleging negligence.

Clough was riding on a Disney bus that was heading to one of its theme parks on Nov. 28, 2017, according to her suit. She claims that she was sitting on a rented electric scooter as the driver strapped her in and that she was "directed" by the driver to stay on the bus while he drove her to the theme park.

Clough alleges that as the bus made a turn, she "suddenly and unexpectedly" flipped off of the scooter which caused her to suffer "permanent" injuries. She alleges Disney failed to provide a "reasonably safe business premises," and failed to warn her of the dangerous conditions. Clough claims the driver negligently allowed her to board the bus while she was on an electric scooter and failed to adequately secure the scooter.

She further claims she has suffered emotional stress, loss of income and incurred medical treatment expenses as a result of the accident.

Clough seeks monetary relief of more than $30,000, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Jared Andersen of The Pendas Law Firm in Orlando.
