TALLAHASSEE - Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare was sued by a Leon County woman after a light fixture in the hospital randomly fell on her.
The complaint was filed on April 27 in the Leon County Circuit Court by plaintiff Lisa Ivester, who says she visited the hospital located at 1300 Miccosukee Rd. in Tallahassee on May 23, 2018, as a patient.
Ivester says a defective or broken light fixture fell off of a wall and struck her, causing injuries. She sued the hospital for at least $30,000 in damages for its alleged negligence.
