ORLANDO - An Orange County woman sued an Orlando esthetician after she suffered an allergic reaction to an eyebrow tinting procedure, according to documents filed on Feb. 17 in the Orange County Judicial Court.

Plaintiff Erica Ruffin visited the KVP Esthetic clinic located at 4300 South Semoran Blvd. in Orlando in August 2020 for an eyebrow tinting procedure.

Ruffin complains that KVP did not ask her for any sort of paperwork or medical history prior to the procedure, nor did it disclose any chemicals, dyes or other potential hazards used for the tinting.

According to the suit, the plaintiff suffered extreme burning, pain and swelling in her eyebrows and surrounding area within 24 hours of the procedure and ultimately needed medical attention.

KVP is sued for one count of strict liability, one count of negligence and one count of negligent training and supervision. Ruffin requests at least $30,000 in damages.

The plaintiff is represented by Matthew Rabin of Reifkind, Thompson and Rudzinski LLP of Orlando.
