GREENBERG TRAURIG LLP: Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa Office Adds Of Counsel Brian Gaudet

Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. has expanded its Tampa office Tax Practice with the addition of Brian Gaudet as an Of Counsel attorney.

“We welcome Brian to Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office and look forward to working closely with him as he adds additional talent to our robust Tax practice,” said David B. Weinstein, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office and chair of the firm’s national Environmental & Toxic Torts Litigation Practice. “We continue to strategically expand our Tampa attorney team and maintain our strong focus on providing our clients with the top-quality legal services.”

Gaudet assists private and public companies in creating tax-optimal legal entity structures and day-to-day transaction flows. He has wide-ranging experience handling domestic and international transactional tax work for buyers, sellers, and investors, as well as experience in state and local tax and tax incentive work, including Qualified Opportunity Zone transactions.

Gaudet also has tax and business practice experience that includes estate planning and trusts and estates administration. His corporate legal experience includes corporate governance and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, restructuring, and real estate structuring. He approaches issues tactically, with years of experience developing practical legal strategies for clients. For more than a decade, Gaudet served as Head Tax Counsel at CVS Health.

Gaudet received his LL.M. in Tax from Boston University School of Law, a J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.

He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and U.S. Tax Court only. Gaudet is authorized to engage in supervised practice in Florida under the terms of Florida Supreme Court Administrative Order AOSC20-80.
