GAINESVILLE – The University of Florida Levin College of Law was again ranked No. 1 in Florida by U.S. News & World Reports.

UF Levin College of Law jumped from No. 31 in last year’s ranking to No. 24 in the latest report, putting it ahead of Fordham University and tied with Emory University and Arizona State University. The ranking is the school’s highest spot yet and marks a 24-point climb since 2016.

“We are thrilled to rank among the top 10 public law schools in the nation and the top 25 law schools overall,” said Laura A. Rosenbury, dean and Levin, Mabie & Levin professor of law in a statement issued to the Florida Record. “The passion and dedication of our entire law school community has helped UF Law reach this historic milestone.”

According to a press release issued by the university, since 2016, UF Law has enrolled the most highly credentialed JD classes in its history, placing UF law at No. 15 in the nation for student selectivity. The law school also improved student diversity, welcomed 20 new full-time faculty members and unveiled a new office of career and professional development with student advisors.

“Our new ranking reflects the excellence of our student body, the rigor of our faculty and programs, the quality of our job placement, and the support of our alumni and friends,” Rosenbury said. “We will keep moving forward.”
