Greenberg Traurig LLP issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

Kimberly A. Mello, a shareholder in the Appellate Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has relocated from the firm’s Tampa office to its Orlando office.

“We are pleased to welcome Kimberly to the Orlando office and look forward to working with her,” said Orlando L. Evora, co-managing shareholder of the Orlando office. “Her significant experience in appellate matters will no doubt be beneficial to many of our clients.”

Mello focuses her practice on appellate litigation, briefing, and arguing appeals in state and federal courts, including the Florida Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, and Florida's District Courts of Appeal. In addition, she represents clients on complex legal issues with an emphasis on toxic torts, mass torts, class actions, environmental litigation, and business litigation. Mello also provides other litigation support at the trial court level, during the pre-trial, trial, and post-trial phases of litigation. She is listed among the Best Lawyers in America for her appellate work from 2013-2019.

Active within Florida’s legal and nonprofit communities, Mello serves on the board of trustees of the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society, and on the board of directors for the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. She is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) and serves on its Appellate Practice Committee. Mello is also a member of the ABA’s Appellate Advocacy Committee, for which she served as vice-chair from 2013-2015 and as chair-elect designee in 2015.
