Fox Rothschild LLP issued the following announcement on June 26.

Fox Rothschild LLP welcomes Patricia M. Flanagan to its West Palm Beach office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Department and Fashion Law Practice Group.

“Patricia is a skilled adviser to companies looking to protect and defend their business’ brands and proprietary information,” said Robert J. Sacco, Fox’s West Palm Beach office managing partner. “Her background developing strategic plans to cultivate and safeguard a company’s intellectual property assets, coupled with her trial experience in trademark litigation, make for an outstanding addition to the firm. We are thrilled to welcome her to our South Florida team.”

From startups to established global companies, Flanagan’s clients span a range of sectors: retail, fashion and hospitality brands; international music festivals; production companies and entertainment professionals; technology and software companies; private equity firms; and real estate owners and developers.

Flanagan represents clients in the strategic management and utilization of their trademark portfolios, including procurement, maintenance, licensing and asserting and defending trademark and unfair competition litigation. She has extensive experience litigating cases centered on trademark infringement, copyright infringement, unfair competition, false advertising and entertainment litigation in federal courts across the country, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Flanagan regularly counsels clients on clearance and registration of trademarks and service marks; worldwide brand management strategies; trademark oppositions in cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Office; and a range of policing and enforcement issues. On the transactional side, she also assists with a variety of contracts and commercial exchanges related to intellectual property.

She earned her J.D., cum laude, and M.B.A. from Stetson University, her B.S. from the University of Central Florida and her Certificate from the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham University School of Law.

Prior to joining Fox, Flanagan was a partner at Akerman LLP.
