Littler Mendelson P.C. issued the following announcement on April 1.
Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has appointed Jonathan Beckerman as office managing shareholder (OMS) of the firm’s Miami office. Beckerman succeeds Patrick DeBlasio III, who has stepped down from the role and will continue to focus on his active practice.
“We thank Patrick for his hard work and many contributions over the years. He has been instrumental in the success of the Miami office, and we look forward to his continued efforts on behalf of the firm,” said Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, co-managing directors of Littler, in a joint statement. “We look forward to Jonathan taking the reins and building upon Patrick’s accomplishments.”
Beckerman represents management-side clients in the hospitality, retail, construction, manufacturing and health/wellness sectors. He regularly interacts with state and federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), defending his client’s interests at every stage of the complaint/charge process – from investigations and negotiations to fact-finding conferences and administrative hearings.
A thought leader in labor and employment law, Beckerman is a frequent speaker and has also been named by The Best Lawyers in America©for the past two years.
Beckerman earned his J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, and his B.A. from the University of Colorado.
