NELSON MULLINS: Anne Corcoran Joins Nelson Mullins in Tallahassee

Nelson Mullins issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced today that Anne Corcoran has joined the firm in Tallahassee as of counsel. Corcoran will focus her practice on project development and finance, with an emphasis on industrial development projects.

Corcoran has spent almost 20 years in private practice and has also worked as an assistant state attorney for the Fifth Judicial Circuit. In addition, on a pro bono basis, she founded and managed a charter school, overseeing all legal issues, including employment law, land use, contracts, and charter school law compliance, for a charter school with more than 90 employees and 1,000 students with a budget of more than $6 million.

She earned her JD, magna cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law and a BA in Journalism in News and Public Affairs from the University of Texas. She is married to former Speaker of the Florida House Richard Corcoran, now serving as Commissioner of Education, the state’s chief education officer.
