ORLANDO — A passenger is suing William Taylor, a driver, citing alleged negligence.
Li Ruey Chen filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against William Taylor alleging that the driver failed to maintain proper control of the vehicle he was operating.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 18, 2016, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle involved in a collision at or near the intersection of Aloma and Shepherd avenues in Winter Park. He sustained serious and permanent injuries resulting in pain, suffering, disability, physical impairment, medical care and treatment expenses, and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life. The plaintiff holds William Taylor responsible because he allegedly negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained his vehicle so as to collide with the vehicle in which Chen was a passenger.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages that exceeds $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney’s fees and for other such relief as may be just and equitable. He is represented by Karen R. Wasson of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
