ORLANDO — A woman is suing Vernetia Moore, a driver, citing alleged negligence.

Anabel Figueroa filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against Vernetia Moore alleging that the driver failed to operate a motor vehicle in a careful and safe manner.

According to the complaint, Figueroa alleges that on Oct. 15, 2016, she was involved in an automobile collision with Moore's vehicle on Alafaya Trail in Orlando. She sustained serious and permanent injuries resulting in loss of an important bodily function, scarring or disfigurement, medical care and treatment expenses and loss of wages.

The plaintiff holds Moore responsible because she allegedly negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained her vehicle so as to collide with the motor vehicle driven by the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages that exceeds $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney’s fees and such relief as may be just and equitable. She is represented by Karen Wasson of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
