CLEARWATER — A man is suing Maria Belen Schlusselblum, a driver, citing alleged negligence.

Rick Tra filed a complaint on Dec. 21 in the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida—Pinellas County against Maria Belen Schlusselblum alleging that she failed to maintain her vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, Tra alleges that on Feb. 6, 2018, he was involved in an auto collision with Schlusselblum's vehicle at or near the intersection of 54TH Ave. N. and Northbound Interstate 275 in St. Petersburg. He suffered serious bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life. He holds Maria Belen Schlusselblum responsible because she allegedly negligently and carelessly operated and/or maintained her motor vehicle so that it collided with the vehicle that Tra was operating.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $15,000 and such further legal and equitable relief as the court may deem just and proper. He is represented by William J. Flores of Wil Flores, PA in St. Petersburg.
