ORLANDO — An Orlando motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Ester Herrera filed a complaint Dec. 20 in Orange County Circuit Court against Sandra Beltran Ruiz, alleging the defendant failed to operate her motor vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.

According to the complaint, on May 9, 2017, Herrera was injured in an auto collision at the intersection of Wetherbee Road and U.S. Highway 441 in Orlando. The suit says Herrera sustained significant bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disfigurement, mental anguish and loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life.

The plaintiff alleges Ruiz negligently operated and maintained her motor vehicle so that it collided with the vehicle driven by Herrera.

Herrera seeks trial by jury, damages that exceed the jurisdictional limits of the court, including court costs. She is represented by attorney Tiffany M. Faddis of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
