CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing a St. Petersburg laundromat, alleging negligence caused injuries to the plaintiff.

Rhonda Cummings filed a complaint Dec. 10 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Suncoast Laundromats Inc., alleging failure to maintain its property in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 6, 2017, Cummings was injured at the laundromat, 5012 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, when she slipped and fell in a puddle of water on the floor due to a leaky washing machine. The suit says Cummings suffered disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, lost wages and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Suncoast Laundromats negligently allowed a puddle of water to accumulate on the floor and failed to provide adequate warning of the existing dangerous condition.

Cummings seeks trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000, interest, court costs and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by attorney Bruce M. Kleinberg of Jack Bernstein PA in Tampa.
