ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Sebastian Salas filed a complaint Dec. 7 in Orange County Circuit Court against Southern Fidelity Insurance Company, alleging failure to provide coverage for the plaintiff's losses.

According to the complaint, on April 28, 2017, during the policy period, Salas' property at 1456 Montego Lane, Orlando, suffered a property loss due to water damage. Salas says he complied with all conditions precedent to entitle him to recover under the policy but Southern Fidelity has denied his claim despite assigning a date of loss.

The plaintiff alleges Southern Fidelity Insurance has failed to provide coverage for all of Salas' losses.

Salas seeks trial by jury, judgment of more than $15,000 for all losses with interest on any overdue payments, any incidental and foreseeable consequential damages, plus attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Aruna D. Nankissore of The Nation Law Firm LLP in Longwood.
