ORLANDO — Two Orlando vehicle owners are suing another motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiffs.

Denise Kennedy and Dave Kennedy filed a complaint Nov. 29 in Orange County Circuit Court against Thomas Chenault, alleging failure to lawfully use the public and private roads of Florida.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2017, the Kennedys were driving their Honda in Orange County when they were struck by an Enterprise rental vehicle driven by Chenault.

The Kennedys allege Chenault's vehicle failed to stop, causing the collision that resulted in bodily injuries, disability, mental anguish, inconvenience and medical expenses for the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs allege Chenault failed to keep his motor vehicle under safe and proper control and operated at an excessive rate of speed.

The Kennedys seek trial by jury, damages in excess of $15,000 and all other just relief. They are represented by attorney Jon Lambe of Ferderigos & Lambe in Winter Park.
