CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg apartment complex is suing a tenant, alleging breach of contract and nuisance.

El-Ad Reserve at Lake Pointe LLC, doing business as The Reserve at Lake Pointe Apartments, filed a complaint Nov. 14 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Keith Greene, alleging failing to pay nearly $2,800 in rent and late charges.

According to the complaint, pursuant to a written lease agreement with The Reserve, Greene is obligated to pay monthly rent to the plaintiff.

However, the suit says, despite The Reserve serving notice to pay past due or give up possession of the apartment, Greene has not done either and owes the plaintiff $2,779.81 as of Nov. 13.

The plaintiff alleges Greene has refused to leave the rented property and has failed to leave rented dwelling in a clean and sanitary condition.

The Reserve at Lake Pointe Apartments seeks trial by jury, judgment for rent payment and late charges, physical damage to the premises of more than $15,000, court costs and attorney fees. It is represented by attorney John E. McMillan of Temple Terrace.
