ORLANDO — An Orange County woman is suing an Orlando grocery store, alleging negligence led to a slippery floor that caused the plaintiff to suffer injuries.

Lois Brown filed a complaint Nov. 13 in Orange County Circuit Court against Moran Foods LLC, doing business as Save-A-Lot, alleging failure to warn of any dangerous conditions.

According to the complaint, on May 13, 2017, Brown was lawfully at the Save-A-Lot, 5639 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, when he slipped and fell due to a liquid that had accumulated and remained on the store's floor. As a result, Brown says she sustained bodily injury, resulting in pain and suffering.

The plaintiff alleges Save-A-Lot failed to exercise due care to maintain the premises in a safe condition, failed to adequately inspect the premises and failed to warn Brown of the dangerous condition.

Brown seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000. She is represented by attorney Paul Shalhoub of Schwed, Adams & McGinley PA in Palm Beach Gardens.
