CLEARWATER — A Clearwater woman is suing vehicle insurer and drivers, alleging breach of contract and negligence.
Nicole Norwood filed a complaint Nov. 12 in Pinellas Circuit Court against LM General Insurance Company, Zohrab Kotchounian and Avedis Kotchounian, alleging the Kotchounians failed to take evasive actions to avoid a collision.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 8, 2016, Norwood was a passenger in a car that was involved in an accident due to the carelessness of uninsured motorists, Zohrab Kotchounian and/or Avedis Kotchounian near the intersection of U.S. Route 19 and Curlew Road in Clearwater.
At the time of the accident, the suit says, Norwood was a passenger in the vehicle insured by LM General. She says she sustained serious injuries and has incurred substantial economic damages.
The plaintiff alleges LM General has been unable to resolve the uninsured motorists' claim.
Norwood seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest and court costs. She is represented by attorney Tony Griffith of Tanney, Griffith & Bresler PA in Clearwater.
