CLEARWATER — A Pinellas County woman is suing a truck driver and owner, alleging negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Stephanie Woodall filed a complaint Nov. 8 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Charles D. Gandy and Sweep It LLC, alleging the truck owner Sweep It negligently entrusted its truck to Gandy.

According to the complaint, June 26, 2015, Woodall was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a collision with the defendants' Isuzu truck near the intersection of state Route 60 and U.S. Highway 19 North in Clearwater. Woodall says she sustained bodily injuries, resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and hospitalization, medical and nursing care and treatment expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Gandy breached his duty to operate the truck in a reasonably prudent and careful manner.

Woodall seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney fees and such other just relief. She is represented by attorneys Paul Puzzanghera, Crystal L. Sebago and Marielis Rivera, of Puzzanghera Law Offices PA in St Petersburg.
