Orange County residents accuse ASI Preferred Insurance of breach of contract

ORLANDO — Property owners are suing ASI Preferred Insurance Corp., a licensed insurer, citing alleged breach of insurance policy.

Claudio Reyes and Aurelina Gonzalez filed a complaint on Oct. 12 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida-Orange County against ASI Preferred Insurance Corp., alleging that the licensed insurer failed to adequately provide coverage under the terms of the policy.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that n Sept. 11, 2017, and while the policy issued by defendant was in full force and effect, Claudio Reyes and Aurelina Gonzalez's property at 11831 Hullbridge Court sustained a covered loss as a result of wind and water damage. As a result of defendant's actions. plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer damages. The plaintiffs holds ASI Preferred Insurance Corp., responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to acknowledge and to make adequate payment to plaintiff's loss.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of more than $15,000, exclusive of interest, costs and attorney's fees and such other relief deemed appropriate. They are represented by Alexandra Ramon of Ramon, Rodriguez & Blanco-Herrera LLP in Miami.
